eCl@ss exhibits a set of precise sensors in a demonstrator at the Hannover Trade Fair 2019, further developed by the IOTA Foundation, Neoception and Pepperl+Fuchs. One of the sensors is e.g. measuring the distance to an object and categorizes the retrieved data through a specific, unique, standardized ID. Any measured distance is being immutably recorded as a data point on the Tangle. From that point, it is easily audible and can be purchased through a micro transaction.

eClass, a joint venture formed by (mostly) german industry giants to establish commonly used standards and the IOTA Foundation announce their partnership to "support the exchange of digital resources" and "introduce IOTA as a payment model for eCl@ss" as well as to "establish the eCl@ss standard in the data market as well as in the IOTA protocol".
